What is NECA? The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) was founded in 1901 and is now the leading representative for a segment of the construction market comprised of over 70,000 electrical contracting firms. The industry employs over 65,000 electrical workers and produces an annual volume of over $65 billion. NECA comprises of 118 U.S. chapters, including the Kansas Chapter, in addition to others in countries around the world. NECA is dedicated to enhancing the industry by continuing education, labor relations, current information and promotional activities. It is the voice of the electrical contracting industry and works to promote higher standards, quality workmanship and training for a skilled workforce. The Kansas Chapter of NECA, located in Wichita, Kansas, has been serving the Kansas Electrical Contracting Industry since 1944.
